One of challenges of a distributed system is testing changes before they are deployed because it is difficult to recreate the complexity of the system in an offline manner. The Simulation Server lets you do any type of "what-if" testing by hosting snapshots of the entire system or subsections of the system, using live or historical data. A single Simulation Server can host any number of simulations to be run simultaneously, eliminating the need for multiple separate environments to be set up.
Simulations can use live or historical data or a combination of the two. The Simulation Server works with the Enterprise Hub to enable the user to choose which version of the system to simulate. Because it is a multi-tenancy server, multiple users can run simultaneous simulations of different versions of the event system. Domain experts can build complex applications based on their own domain-specific requirements. Using knowledge management capabilities, they can make informed decisions and deploy real-time resolutions by testing the impact of various changes and resource constraints.
