As the Lead Performance Engineer for the Starview Enterprise Platform you will play a key role in optimizing the performance of the integrated platform. You will define key metrics, measure performance, debug performance bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for performance optimization of the middleware. You will also be responsible for designing and developing tests from a system integration perspective.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with Product Management and Development to define system integration tests, meaningful performance metrics for scaling, and sizing. Fully automate the test cases.

Drive the tuning, prototyping, and performance improvement of Java-based products.

Create custom tools and data as necessary to automate performance testing. .

Debugging and modification of automated test software

File bugs and follow up on failures.

Manage performance lab

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

BS degree in computer science

Demonstrated programming and / or scripting experience (Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, etc.)

Experience with automated test methodologies and automated test tools

Experience with database schemas and querying tools (i.e. SQL) and performance tuning is a must

Experience with network performance as it impacts middleware software.

5+ years of experience in a team quality assurance environment

Windows, Linux, and Solaris experience sufficient to tune for performance.
