compiler design engineer

We are seeking a senior software engineer with experience in designing language constructs and building compilers/interpreters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implementation of significant parts of the Rules Engine/compiler for a proprietary rules-based language

Design and implementation of language constructs for data analysis across various vertical industry segments such as logistics, finance, etc. .

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

BS or MS degree in computer science.

5+ years of experience and strong background in developing compilers.

2-3 years in lead engineer or lead architect capacity..

Experience with wide variety of aspects of compiler including high level optimizations, code generation and building a good compiler framework,

Particular emphasis on front-end work, for example developing parsers, code generation, optimization and run-time monitoring and debugging

Experience with functional and other declarative languages is a definite plus. Experience with parallel and distributed platforms highly valued.

Experience in code generation for multi-core, multi-system node systems

Good understanding of programming languages is needed.

Strong recent experience Java, preferably JDK 1.6. Knowledge of JVM and generating byte code is a plus.
